Au revoir to the 10th cohort of Video Game Law….

As we approach reading week, it’s high time that I thank the 10th cohort of the course. There was lots to be impressed by. Your support of each other. Your commitment to really going deep on the legal questions. Your heartfelt efforts in class presentations. Ultimately what moved me the most was how you were per capita the most knowledgeable group about video-games, their history, quirks, and challenges, than any previous class. That characteristic, it turns out, informed everything else. Your confidence in the depth of your knowledge created the space to support your less expert colleagues with generosity and without judgment. It informed your curiosity and commitment to go deep into the legal issues. In turn that impacted your presentations which both deepened and broadened the course. My goal was to innovate in this tenth iteration by emphasizing active learning. Turns out all of you collectively were the real innovation. Thanks for all you did. Don’t be strangers…
